I miss my Chloe

She is all we have. She was with us for about 47 days. Then she was taken away from us. She's not far, but we just can't simply go see her. Sigh~~

Her name is Chloe. Born on 12.11.2012. Baby girl, first of my youngest brother. Her mother took her back to her hometown some 800km away from Kuching. It was Christmas and we're not celebrating it as we always did because Nenek just past away earlier that month.

I was not at home when they left. I was working, wishing that they didn't leave. Sigh~

I'm sharing this because I've been dreaming and missing her a lot lately. We used to laughed at how powerful she burp after milk, pass gas and her cries. Sob sob.. ='( I know I'm being such a baby, complaining like this, it's just that to share it with my mum, makes her quiet, cause she missed Chloe too.

See how peaceful she is in dreamland

The worst part is her mother is not trying to make contact with us. I'm pretty sure we did nothing wrong to hurt her in any way. If we did, I really am sorry. We are just human. But what she is doing right now hurts us even worst. She's hurting everyone, cause we miss both of them. I do pray and hope both will return soon. I can't bear to dream and missing her like this.

A photo of her after some nagging text to her mum.

Baking mode on!

Lately I've been baking a lot. Not much, just enough to sell to my brother's colleagues. I never thought that baking muffin is so easy. As simple as ABC.

What I've been baking is simple choc chip muffin. I don't know how real muffins taste, but I prefer mine less sweet, soft and moist. YUM! Describing it makes me drooling too. LOL.

I got this recepi for basic muffin where you can customize the flavour according to your preference. I like chocolate, so I made Choc Chip Muffin.

See how gorgeous it rise and crack. Its rich in choc chip too! YUM..
I made some twist from the original recipe since I want my muffin soft and moist. Here I'll share the original recipe.

SOFT & MOIST CHOC CHIP MUFFIN

A:
2 cups of self raising flour
1 cup of castor sugar (I used 3/4 brown sugar for moist and reduce sweetness)
1 tsp salt (I didn't add in because I'm using salted butter)

B:
1/3 cup cooking oil (I switch to melted butter for a soft result)
3/4 milk (If you don't have any, can mix 2 tbsp condensed milk or milk powder with plain water)
1 large egg

Main Ingredient:
1 cup choc chip

Method:
  1. Sift all in A in a large bowl. Add in Main ingredient. Put aside.
  2. Mix all in B in a jug.
  3. Make a well in the large bowl. Fold in mixture in 2 using a spatula just to get the mixture wet. Make sure not to over mix it.
  4. Scoop 1/3 cup mixture into lined muffin cup and smooth the top.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes at 160 degree Celsius.
  6. Leave cool in tray for 5 minutes and then cool on wire rack.

The Red Sun

I remember I used to draw a small hut in the middle of a piece of paper, decorate it with some coconut trees by the sides. Behind the small hut is a paddy field, green with 'V' or 'W' shaped paddy in boxes. I like to draw two mountains in the background with the Sun hiding behind them. To complete the drawing, I will draw birds flying home, 'cos its almost dark.

I'm sure I'm not the only one drawing this view. My classmates in elementary school draw the exact same thing as described. We used to draw it over and over again in our spare times.

One day, when I visited my aunt at 16th Mile Jalan Penrissen, the elders left us kids at home with my elder cousin. She don't know what to do with us, since she never babysit anyone (and she is the youngest in the family), she brought out some crayons and papers. She handed them over to us and asked us to draw something with them.

The only thing that we knew to draw was that view of the paddy field. So, we took our time to draw the small little hut, the green paddy field, some coconut trees and the mountain in the back. As I was about to complete my drawing, I thought, do I want to draw the sun behind the mountains or is it still noon time.

When I finally decided to draw the big yellow Sun high above the hut, I saw my brother is still using the yellow color crayon. He was drawing the Sun too. I could not wait for him and pick up whatever color was available. I started to draw a BIG RED Sun.

After finishing the drawing, we showed it to my cousin and she commented like a teacher. Oh how we laughed at her reaction. It was really funny. We went home with the drawings that evening as souvenir of a good laugh.

Next day was Sunday. Me and my little brother helped Mum with some weeding in the front yard. It was hot and sunny that day. We collect all the trimmed grass and pile them by the corner. As the pile gets higher, Mum said we can start to burn it. I went in the house to get match. She started the fire and we watched it burn, as Mum continued trimming.

As we watched and play, we saw that the sun is unusually RED.

'Uh oh!', my brother said. 'No wonder it was so hot today. Maybe its because you drew the Sun red yesterday, and now the Sun is so red and hot. I think Sun God is angry', he continued.

'Quick! Get the grass and lets worship the Sun God like what they always do in the cartoon', I responded.

We grab some tall grass and start doing what the cartoons do to worship. The grass was our joss stick. We even go round the pile fire like the Red Indians, sometimes on our knees begging that the Sun God not to be angry. We totally looked silly, but we were so worried that the Sun God is angry. After several rounds around the fire, the Sun returns to its yellowish color. That relieves us, and we ended the day.

Few years later, when our city is covered in haze, I saw the BIG RED Sun again and remembered that funny incident. I started to laugh when I remember how naive I was, thinking the Sun God was angry of me back then.

But to think of it, perhaps, God is giving warning on this little event that with the burning and global warming, we are hurting the Earth.

I learned my lesson, terribly and jokingly.

what if.....

im thinking... what if what i write today, becomes reality the next day? im thinking, its just a book to write on, but it appears to be a magic book, that creates life opportunity, life experiences, all that i scribbled on, into reality.

it scares me, coz if i write i'll meet a ghost and it really appears, i'll pee my pants!
but looking on the positive side, the ghost maybe appeared coz it wants me to be the medium to tell a message to someone. who knows rite? that will be great to  help a person in need yeah?

if i write that tomorrow i'll win a jackpot, wow! imagine what i cant buy. nothing! i can buy anything. the best thing, all of it.

nah, its just nonsense. no such book ever exist. unlike genie in aladdin.. sometimes i wish they make a movie, 3d movie of aladdin. the genie came out from the screen and talks to us as if he's really in the cinema. what a wonderful movie it will be.

so, what if that book really exist? i dont know how it will affect our world, but i'm too afraid to know that if it really exist and happens to be in the wrong hand, imagine what destruction it will cause to this world.

If it does exist, do keep it a secret and only share it with your spirit. never trust anyone

Mari belajar mengarang

Hari tu, aku terbaca satu posting dari kawan aku kat FB. Dia kata, menulis esei yang bagus ni, macam melihat seorang wanita cantik. Mula dari atas k?

Seorang wanita cantik, sesiapa bila mukanya cantik, semua orang nak tengok katanya. Yup, betul tu. Untuk itu, kena la ada tajuk dan mukadimah yang menarik. Semakin menarik permulaan cerita, makin suka/tertarik orang membacanya. Betol tak?

Lepas mukadimah, baru lah isi..

Selamat mencuba!
